Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Afternoon:
Arrive in Hanoi! Our tour guide will pick you up and then transfer you to your hotel.
14:00 is the check-in time at the hotel. If you want to order the early check-in, there will be a surcharge fee.
 
This is a free day so you can decide to have a long sleep after your flight or explore the city on your own. In addition, you can consider trying some interesting activities, such as:
Water Puppet Performance: Watch the interesting traditional water puppet show which will tell you some Vietnamese fairy tales or historical stories. 
Vietnamese Cooking Class / Food Tours: Explore the Vietnamese cuisine world in Hanoi by joining a cooking class and learning how to cook some basic but tasty traditional foods or taste the street flavors with a food tour in the capital.
 
** At the airport, our tour guide/driver will wait for you at Pole No.7 (Outside the Terminal Gate), so you just have to get there to be picked up.
Day 2: Hanoi Half-day City tour
(Morning or afternoon tour depends on the availability)
Morning:
- Upon your interest, you can choose to have a half-day city tour in Hanoi by car or motorbike
- Our tour guide will meet you at your hotel and bring you to the 1st site in your itinerary: the Temple of Literature
- The next attraction will be the One Pillar Pagoda which is located quite near the Temple of Literature
- From One Pillar Pagoda, you can easily get to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - the rest-in-peace place of Vietnam’s greatest leader
NOTE: The mausoleum is a view-from-outside attraction and is closed every Monday & Friday and from June to August.
- Before lunch, you will visit the biggest lake in Hanoi - West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda - one of the most famous sacred temples in the capital with 1,500 years of history
 
Afternoon & Evening:
- After that, you will have lunch at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and the rest of the day will be your free time

Activities:
- Visit Temple of Literature/ Stop over One Pillar Pagoda/ Go to see Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong -Lan Ha Bay - Overnight on Cruise
08:00-08:30. Our air-conditioned transfer vehicle will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter to bring you to Tuan Chau Pier. During the 3.5-hour drive, you will have the opportunity to view the simple countryside and rice paddy life along the way. 
11:45. Our crew will welcome you at the office of the pier.
12:00. Have lunch on boat 
15:00. We will visit the Frog Pond area - famous for the pristine natural beauty and poetic, attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. This is also the best time for tourists to enjoy kayaking - which is an interesting activity to discover the truest beauty of the limestone mountains and the blue sky of Lan Ha Bay.
17:30. Return to Cruises. Enjoy sunset party on HaLong Bay. It is a ideal time for photography enthusiasts to capture the stunning moment of sunset at Lan Ha Bay.
19:30 - Midnight. Enjoy a romantic dinner at the restaurant.
Enjoy the nightlife of HaLong Bay from the deck. Immerse yourself in music, enjoy a glass of cocktail from the bar, sing karaoke and relax on the cruise. Otherwise, you can fish squid with the sailors or simply relax in the room and watch HaLong Bay from the balcony.
Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Morning:
Your 2nd day in Halong Bay will start with a short early Tai Chi class. For anyone who can’t wake up soon, you can also sleep until breakfast time
After your meal, the cruise will bring you on a trip to explore deeper inside the bay
The brunch will be served on the way sailing back to the port and our driver will pick you up to return to Hanoi

Day 5: Hanoi - Flight to Da Nang - Hoi An
Morning
Pack your luggage and enjoy your last time in Hanoi
Depending on the flight time, our driver will pick you up at the hotel at Noi Bai International Airport for your flight to Da Nang
There will be a driver waiting for you at Da Nang Airport and drive you to your hotel in Hoi An. The hotel receptionist will help you to check-in

You are free to relax or explore Hoi An on your own

Day 6: Half day Hoi An Ancient Town
Morning:
Visit ancient houses with special architecture, observe the crowded daily life of locals, and also pass by some famous sites here such as Fujian Assembly Hall or the Japanese Covered Bridge
Taste a cup of the famous herbal drink in Hoi An bought from a small lovely teashop on the street
Call in a handicraft store where you can see how to create amazing traditional handmade products and buy some as souvenirs

Spend time exploring the town on your own

Day 7: Hoi An - Hue Road Transfer
Morning:
- Travel to Hue by shuttle bus or private car

- After check-in at the hotel in Hue, you are free to explore the city yourself

- Enjoy your festive dinner
- Participate in a board games or squid fishing activities at night

Day 8: Half day Hue City Tour
Morning:
Visit Thien Mu Pagoda, a famous Buddhism attraction which is located at the bank of the enchanting Perfume River
Go to see the Imperial Citadel - remains of the last feudal dynasty in Vietnam and a symbol of Hue City
Stop by Dong Ba Market - the biggest local trading place in the province
End of the tour, the driver will bring you back to your hotel and the rest of the day is all yours

Day 9: Hue - Flight to Ho Chi Minh city
Morning

Day 10: Full day Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City
Morning 
- Head to Cu Chi Tunnels (This site is quite far from Ho Chi Minh City - about 70km - so you can rest a bit more on the car)
- Explore a part of the complicated tunnel system underground that was constructed in the Vietnam War to protect Vietnamese soldiers

If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking online, you can request a refund. Once your purchase date falls outside of the 7-day period, our standard terms and conditions will apply.

Important information
Physical Requirements
A reasonable level of fitness is required but it’s more about spending time on your feet rather than covering large distances. You’ll be getting on and off coaches and boats, walking around the sights and climbing some steps.
 
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Tipping is AU$10/person per day. Tipping is collected by agent before travelling or the day of your arrival.
 
Accommodation
The accommodation listed is subject to change. Any changes will be of an equal or higher standard. Bedding configurations (double or twin) are requests only. All efforts will be made to meet your preferences however any changes are beyond our control.
 
Special Refund Policy
You will receive a refund for the price difference between staying in 2 rooms for 3 adult and staying in a triple room if you want to stay at the triple room
 
Travel Insurance

Visa & Passport information
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages.
A visa is required for travel to Vietnam. The visa is easiest to complete with Charming Viet Nam Travel and just need to pay $160 for single entry (30-day-stay-limited)
 
Tour Documentation
Final documentation, including e-tickets and hotel details, will be provided approximately 30 days prior to travel.
 
Tour Length
The total length of the tour in days includes time spent in flight and is subject to change depending on the flight schedule, please refer to the day by day itinerary for the time spent on land.
