Day 1: Hanoi - Pu Luong (L - D) Caving | Scenic Rice Fields
Day 2: Pu Luong - Ninh Binh (B – L - D) Village Life | Water Wheels
Day 3: Ninh Binh - Hanoi (B – L) (Mua Cave, Hoa Lu, Trang An Natural Heritage Site)
Day 1: HANOI – PU LUONG (L - D) Caving | Scenic Rice Fields
07:00 AM: Pick up at your hotel. Expect a 4-hour drive without heavy traffic.
10:00 AM: Stop for a 15-minute rest break halfway through the journey. Enjoy picturesque village landscapes along the way.
12:00 PM: Arrive at Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Check-in at your reserved room (standard check-in time 14:00) and relax at your own pace.
01:30 PM: Afternoon trek, Difficulty level 4/5.
Transfer to the Meeting Point and commence a 10km trek. Explore Kho Muong, an isolated village surrounded by a valley and the largest cave in Pu Luong, using off-road trails via streams and mountains.
Depart from the village and head to scenic Bang village to discover remote houses with beautiful terrace fields. Return to the hotel and relax by 05:00 PM.
Evening: Culinary exploration and leisure
Optional cooking class for those interested. Enjoy a delicious dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by free time to relax. This concludes your first day in Pu Luong
Day 2: PU LUONG – NINH BINH (B – L - D) Village Life | Water Wheels
Morning Exploration (7:00 AM - 11:30 AM)
• Enjoy breakfast and complete check-out procedures
• Prepare for the day's activities and be ready by 8:30 AM
• Water wheels and bamboo rafting relaxation (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
Transfer to Meeting point and start a 2.5km trek through suspension bridge, scenic villages along the largest stream. Admire water wheels by the way. Join bamboo rafting. Then, take a 1.6km walk back. Transfer back your hotel to check out by 11:30.
Have lunch and then depart for Ninh Binh; it's approximately a 3-hour journey with normal traffic.
Afternoon in Ninh Binh (About 16:00)
• Check in at your room at Tam Coc, and take some time for self-relaxation
• Bicycles are available for leisurely rides around the villages (no tour guide)
Evening Delights (7:00 PM)
• Savor a delicious dinner at 7:00 PM either at homestay or local restaurant nearby.
Enjoy the evening at your own pace, marking the end of the day in Ninh Binh.
Day 3: NINH BINH - HANOI (B – L) (Mua Cave, Hoa Lu, Trang An Natural Heritage Site)
Morning Exploration (After Breakfast)
Transfer to Mua Cave and embark on a challenge of 500 walk-up steps. Reach the top of Mua Cave and enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from a high vantage point.
Historic Visit and Lunch (Around 13:00)
Head to the Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel and visit the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple, dating back to the 17th Century. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
Afternoon Boat Ride (Around 13:00 - 16:00)
Visit the Trang An Heritage Site by boat. Spend 3 hours enjoying the picturesque view of rice paddies and exploring 5 underwater caves, including a thrilling 1km-long cave.
Return to Hanoi (16:00 - 18:30)
Return to Hanoi, with the tour concluding at your hotel around 18:30.
